I was lucky enough to be enjoying the breeze in the Prince’s garden on the night of the ball, and this is just exactly how I remember Cinderella, running down the palace steps, one glass slipper a glittering souvenir of her evening. Besides her dress, all her various bits of finery had already turned back into squeaky white mice, and just a moment after I committed this vision of her to my memory, she was once again a lovely-faced girl in cinder-spotted rags.
I must say, I was sorry not to get a chance to meet with the fairy godmother. I am fairly certain Cindy’s outfit was rather heavily inspired by a 1970’s Dolly Parton, and therefore I should very much like to meet this woman of extraordinarily good taste! (Also, socks and heels is an excellent fashion combination and never not trés chic).
Perhaps her work is not done yet though- as it stands, there’s a lady missing a shoe, and some rather suggestive come-hither looks were exchanged with a certain prince, so with any luck, the planets will align tomorrow and Cindy will see her prince again!
‘White Mice at Midnight’ has been lovingly printed and packaged by me in my home-studio. I use Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks with Vivid Magenta on archival Canson Infinity Platine Fibre-Rag 310 gsm paper. Both the ink and paper are museum-quality, fade-resistant and have been tested to last for at least 120 years.
‘White Mice at Midnight’ comes from a limited edition of 200. The watermark will not appear on your print, which is individually signed and numbered by me.
The active printed area measures approximately 19 cm x 26 cm with a white border for easy framing. The overall paper size is approximately 21 cm x 29.7 cm.
